PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: in a configuration where a coupling member on an apparatus main body side is retreated in a rotation axis direction by the opening and closing operation of a main body cover, which is provided on an apparatus main body for attachment and detachment of a cartridge, a coupling jumps out during the assembly of a driving unit having a main body side coupling part mounted therein, which has caused a reduction in assemblability; however, the addition of a cover and the like to prevent the jump-out of the coupling causes an increase in size of the apparatus, and even the mounting of a temporary holding mechanism might result in an increase in man-hours due to the necessity of manual release of a temporary holding state and image defects due to the temporary holding state being left unreleased.SOLUTION: A drive transmission mechanism is configured to have a temporary holding mechanism that suppresses a coupling member from jumping out at a coupling part, and releases a temporary holding state in association with the operation of a door, which opens and closes at the attachment and detachment of a process cartridge, and does not return to the temporary holding state again in a normal operation. |
