PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to install a seismic control device to an existing building having a balcony. ! SOLUTION: A method to install a seismic control device on the balcony side of a building into a frame surrounded by columns and beams of the building, while allowing the building to be used, comprises the following processes of: building a working platform 2, on a side end of the building, having a platform into which a seismic control device 1 may be put by hoisting it in an erected posture, to enable entry to a balcony 3 from the right and left sides; installing a support 7 for supporting the loads of the seismic control device; installing a carriage 6 for the seismic control device that travels on exclusive rails laid along a drainage gutter; installing an upper guide plate at appropriate locations for preventing toppling of the seismic control device while traveling; and installing the seismic control device 1 in a desired frame 4a by hoisting with a lifting means, loading it on th |
