PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for forming a recording layer of a recording medium on which a toner image can be fixed at a low pressure.SOLUTION: The resin composition for forming a recording layer of a recording medium comprises a resin and satisfies expression (1): 20°C≤T-T≤120°C. In expression (1), Trepresents a temperature when a solid sample of the above resin prepared from the resin composition shows a viscosity of 10Pa s at an applied pressure of 1 MPa measured by use of a flow tester; and Trepresents a temperature when a solid sample of the above resin prepared from the resin composition shows a viscosity of 10Pa s at an applied pressure of 10 MPa measured by use of a flow tester.
