PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfur-containing organic silicon compound which can significantly reduce the hysteresis loss of a rubber composition and significantly improve its abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: This invention provides use of a compounding agent for rubber comprising a sulfur-containing organic silicon compound having a hydrolyzable silyl group, a sulfide group and an amide group as a component.
