PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make demagnetization of permanent magnets of a rotary electric machine less likely to occur.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 includes: a stator 2; a rotor 3; a rotor core 20 provided in the rotor 3, the rotor core 20 in which multiple magnet insertion holes 31 are formed; multiple permanent magnets 21 respectively inserted into the magnet insertion holes 31; and first gaps 32, each of which communicates with the magnet insertion hole 31 and is formed in the rotor core 20 so as to cover a periphery of a first corner part 21a of the permanent magnet 21 inserted into the magnet insertion hole 31, which is positioned at the stator 2 side. |
