The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating liver diseases wherein an extract of Vigna nakashimae which is an active ingredient of the present invention has a significant effect of improving insulin resistance by inhibiting liver inflammation and fat accumulation in a hepatocyte, and can be usefully used for preventing liver diseases or as a treatment agent for liver diseases by relief activity of vesicle stress due to having a superior effect of inhibiting hepatocyte apoptosis.
