PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method, which can image an object transported at high speed on a transportation path or in the transportation path and can easily achieve extended depth-of-field effect for an entire visual field. ! SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus has: a delay integration-type imaging device on which a tilt lens is mounted and includes; an imaging section for imaging light from an imaging object transported in a prescribed transportation direction; and a data processing section for performing deconvolution processing on imaged data imaged by the imaging section. A light-receiving face and a data shift direction of the imaging device are parallel to the transportation direction of the imaging object.
