PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data exchange method for implementing equivalent exchange of data in a data center or the like by quantitatively evaluating value of the data on the basis of the situation at the side where the data are acquired, a device and a program. ! SOLUTION: A data exchange method includes: a number of entities N (N1, N2, N3, ...) which mutually equivalently exchange data held in databases; and a data exchange device 1 that supports and implements the equivalent exchange of the data between the entities. In the data exchange device 1, a data management part 101 manages the data which the entity N holds in its database. A data evaluation part 102 evaluates the data held by each entity. An equivalent exchange path construction part 103 constructs an equivalent exchange path of data between the entities which equivalently exchange data.
