PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an arbitrary electronic device to be remotely controlled from a remote location through a network without installation of an infrared reception unit.SOLUTION: A remote control remote controller 1 comprises: a network communication unit 13 which communicates with a smart phone 2; an infrared LED 117 which transmits a remote controller code for operating a lighting apparatus 3, an air conditioner 4, and the like; a storage unit 16 which stores remote operation information in which identification information showing a type of remote operation and a remote controller code for realizing remote operation are associated with each other; and a central control IC 121 which, when receiving operation instruction information including identification information showing a type of remote operation, transmits a remote controller code corresponding to the type of remote operation from the infrared LED 117.
