PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a touch detection accuracy even against external noise having a longer period than a touch detection period.SOLUTION: In a detection operation of periodically capturing a signal that appears at a detection electrode via a capacity component between a drive electrode and detection electrode of a touch panel, a period of the odd multiple of a half of 1/m (m is a positive integer) of a display scan period is adopted as a detection period for the periodic capture; and together with it, a period of the integer multiple of 1/m (m is a positive integer) of the display scan period is not prevented from being also adopted as a detection period of each period for the periodic capture based on the detection period.
