PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust or rubber from being accumulated between a cam angle sensor fitting tool and a head cover when the cam angle sensor of an internal combustion engine is fitted under application of the cam angle sensor fitting tool, or in addition to it, to assure a sealing characteristic within the cylinder head without reducing accuracy in reading of the cam angle sensor. ! SOLUTION: A cam angle sensor fitting tool comprises a flange part having a flange surface in which a seal member is arranged between it and a head cover; a cam angle sensor fixing part for fixing the cam angle sensor; a cam angle sensor fitting part having a guide hole for guiding the cam angle sensor; a head cover fitting part for fitting the cam angle sensor fitting tool to the head cover; and protrusions protruded from the flange surface. The cam angle sensor fixing part, the cam angle sensor fitting part and the head cover fitting part are erected on the flange surface in an area surrounded by the flange part.
