PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system allowing diagnostic information collecting information transmitted/received between communication devices to be quickly and safely acquired from the outside. ! SOLUTION: An on-vehicle communication system includes: a plurality of ECUs disposed in a vehicle; a plurality of branch lines which divide the ECUs into a plurality of groups and connect between the ECUs for each group; a plurality of group control devices which are connected to each branch line and execute control based on information transmitted/received by the plurality of ECUs for each group; and a high speed trunk line for connecting the plurality of group control devices. The trunk line is connected to a storage device having a storage medium and an output device for outputting information via another communication medium.
