PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly efficiently operate an amplifier following the change of the classification of a signal to be amplified. ! SOLUTION: Radio equipment includes a detection part and a control part. The detection part detects power distribution indicating the distribution of the power of a signal corresponding to the frequency band of a signal to be amplified by an amplifier. A control part controls a parameter for varying the characteristics of the amplifier by using the power distribution detected by the detection part such that a frequency corresponding to the maximum value of the characteristics of the amplifier indicating a relation between the frequency band and the efficiency of the amplifier is made close to a frequency corresponding to the maximum value of the power distribution. !
