SOLUTION: A DC cutoff device 1 comprises: a mechanical disconnector 2 provided on a power transmission line 100; and a parallel circuit 3 connected in parallel to the mechanical disconnector 2. The parallel circuit 3 is provided with: a semiconductor breaker 4 switching supply and cutoff of a current of the power transmission line 100 to the parallel circuit 3; and an H-bridge circuit 50 connected in series to the semiconductor breaker 4. The H-bridge circuit 50 has a plurality of switching elements 51 and a capacitor 53. When the current of the power transmission line 100 is supplied to the parallel circuit 3, an amount of a current flowing in the mechanical disconnector 2 is controlled by controlling an output voltage. !
