PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to suitably perform file deletion in a file management device having a function of uploading a file to an external network apparatus. ! SOLUTION: In a file management device having a function of uploading a file stored in a storage unit 202 to an external network apparatus, a control unit 201 manages the uploaded file in association with information about upload. The information about upload includes, for example: user account when uploading the file; an URL of an upload destination; online service specified from domain information of the URL; and file accessory information.
