Provided are an image photographing method and an image providing method. The image providing method of an image photographing apparatus of the present invention comprises the steps of: performing a reading of an imaging device array in a skip mode and displaying the read image; upon the occurrence of a preset event, switching to a full mode and checking a focus matching state of a subject; and automatically adjusting a focus according to the matching state. The skip mode means a mode for skipping a reading of some imaging devices among a plurality of imaging devices and reading the imaging devices whereas a full mode means a mode for reading a plurality of imaging devices in their entirety.
