<p>Rotary drum apparatus (10) comprising: a drum (12) rotatable around a longitudinal axis (X), and at least one electric motor (16, 18) for driving the drum (12) in rotation around the longitudinal axis (X), each drive motor (16,18) comprising a stator (20,26) and a rotor (22,28), the rotor (22,28) comprising at least one ring portion (32A,32B, 32C) joint together with the drum (12) and extending substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis (X).
