An embodiment of the present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling a cooling fan for a battery, which comprises: multiple battery packs; a monitoring unit monitoring the temperatures of the multiple battery packs to generate temperature information on the battery packs; a controller calculating temperature deviation by using the temperature information on the battery packs and comparing the calculated temperature deviation with a preset first reference value to perform a dual cooling control in order to reduce the calculated temperature deviation; multiple cooling fan driving units driving multiple cooling fans according to the dual cooling control; and multiple cooling fans cooling the battery packs by the multiple cooling fan driving units.
