MICROALGAE COMPRISING INCREASED LIPID CONTENTS USING SALT STRESS AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a method for preparing Chlorella sorokiniana HS (KCTC 12171BP) having an increased lipid content in cells wherein the method includes a step of applying a salt stress to Chlorella sorokiniana HS which is a microalgae; Chlorella sorokiniana HS, which has an increased lipid content in cells, prepared by the method; a biomass containing the Chlorella sorokiniana HS; and a method for preparing a biodiesel by using the biomass. In accordance with the method of the present invention, it is possible to prepare a microalgae having an increased lipid content in cells without having to performing a conventional process performed in order to increase a lipid content in a microalgae, and it is possible to use the microalgae, which has an increased lipid content in cells, as a biomass for producing a biodiesel. Accordingly, the present invention can be widely used in an economic production of the biodiesel.
