<p>The present invention is directed to a method of generating betting odds for a participant competing at an event. The method includes receiving a user input indicative of a degree by which the participant wins or loses the event, and generating, using computational means, betting odds 4 based on a probability that the participant will win or lose the event in accordance with the user input. The event may be horse racing and the user input may indicate a minimum margin 3 by which a horse must win a race. A method is also provided where a race participant is selected for a race which fixed odds have been provided by a bookmaker, and new odds 5,6 are selected for the race participant whereby said new odds correlate with a margin preset by the bookmaker by which the selected race participant must win the race.</p> |
