A system and niethod for pressure based load ineasurcnient are provided. l'he system and method nieasure at least onc pressure differential on an airfoil and determine at Icast one aerodynamic load associated with thc at least one pressure differential. The determined at least one load is used to modify charactcristics of the airfoil to increase cfficiellcy and/or avoid damage. The determined at least one aerodynamic load may be further utilized to balance andlor optiniizc loads at thc airfoil, estimatc a load distribution along the airfoil used to derive other netricsa bout the airfoil, andlor used in a distributed control system to increase efficiency andlor reduce damage to, e.g., one or more wind turbines. |
