PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder capable of suppressing the reduction of a subjective image recording quality and suppressing the reduction of the throughput of the image recording processing.SOLUTION: An ink jet recorder performs: an acquisition processing (S11) for acquiring image data; a discharge timing calculating processing (S13) for calculating a discharge timing for recording an image on a recording medium of a reference position; a spare calculating processing (S16) for calculating a margin width estimating value on the basis of the image data; a detection processing (S18) for detecting the end portion position in the main scanning direction of the recording media in response to the fact that the margin width estimated from the margin width estimation value is less than the threshold value (S17: Yes); and a recording processing for recording (S21) an image on the recording medium at the calculated discharge timing in response to (S19: No) that the margin width is at or larger than a threshold width, and responding (S20) an image on the recording medium at the corrected discharge timing corrected on the basis of the end position detected in response to (S19: Yes) that the margin width is less than the threshold width. |
