Provided is a method for providing a file aging service, comprising the steps of: receiving a content upload event from a user terminal through a content upload server; mapping and storing a content expiration time included in the received content upload event to the user terminal; modifying content by outputting an aging signal for the content on the basis of a time difference between the content expiration and the current time; and transmitting a content expiration schedule message to the user terminal within a preset period from the content expiration time. At this point, the content upload server modifies the content so as to correspond to the outputted aging signal.
