PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag treatment method in which the amount of the molten slag to be injected is controlled stably when the molten slag is injected from a slag holding furnace into an electric furnace for executing reduction treatment of the molten slag. ! SOLUTION: The slag treatment method comprises the steps of: throwing the molten slag generated in a steelmaking process in the slag holding furnace while keeping a molten state; injecting the molten slag from the slag holding furnace into the electric furnace for housing a molten iron layer and a molten slag layer formed on the molten iron layer; continuously reducing the molten slag in the electric furnace; and recovering valuable materials in the molten slag in the molten iron layer.
