Provided are a method for processing a packet in an access network, and a network device. The method comprises: an access device receiving a two-layer protocol packet sent by a central device, a destination address of the two-layer protocol packet being an MAC address of the access device; according to the two-layer protocol packet, the access device obtaining flow table information; according to the flow table information, the access device generating a flow table entry, the flow table entry comprising a match domain and an instruction; the access device receiving a service packet sent by a user equipment; according to the service packet, the access device determining a matched flow table entry, and when the matched flow table entry is the generated flow table entry, according to the instruction in the generated flow table entry, processing the service packet. By means of the technical solution, the access device can obtain the flow table information from the central device without the need to be configured with an IP address of a public network, so that the user equipment accesses an IP network via the access device, thereby being beneficial to the simplification of the management and maintenance of the access device. |
