METHODS FOR BACKGROUND RESIDUAL PREDICTION

摘要

Methods of background prediction for general video coding, surveillance video coding and conferencing video coding are disclosed. The new background prediction mode, namely background residual prediction, is proposed to predict the current coding block sub-block by sub-block. For each current sub-block, it is selectively predicted the corresponding reference sub-block's background residual plus the current sub-block's corresponding background sub-block in background picture.
