PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated paper for printing having low density, having high printing durability even having a low coating amount and being excellent in a coated surface feeling.SOLUTION: A coated paper for printing is provided with one or more coating layers on both surfaces of a base paper consisting of pulp as a main component. The base paper includes the pulp containing chemical pulp of 60% or more and a loading material, bulking agents, and/or sizing agents being individually of 1 through 10 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the pulp and has the Cobb water absorption (contact time: 15 seconds) ranging from 5 to 50 g/m. A coating material for a coating layer for providing one or more coating layers contains pigment and adhesive agents. The adhesive agents include at least starch-based adhesive agents. One or more coating layers are provided within a range from 1 to 6 g/mper a single surface of the base paper and have density within a range from 0.5 to 0.7 g/cm.
