PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element for a dashboard of a vehicle, which is improved in visibility of a red color.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display element is composed of: a liquid crystal panel 140 which includes a red (R) color filter layer, a green (G) color filter layer and a blue (B) color filter layer and which achieves red, green and blue colors; and a backlight 110 which comprises a blue LED that emits blue light and a fluorescent layer comprising a green fluorescent substance and a red fluorescent substance mixed in a mixing ratio of 1.5:1 to 2.5:1, and which includes a W-LED 190 that supplies white light to the liquid crystal panel 140. The red color filter layer contains an anthraquinone pigment of chemical formula (1) below. |
