SOLUTION: A wheel drive device 1 is equipped with a motor 2, and a speed reducer 3 for decelerating and outputting the rotations of the motor 2. The speed reducer 3 is equipped with a sun gear 41 coaxially disposed with a rotary shaft 33 of the motor 2, a plurality of planetary gears 42 engaged with the sun gear 41 and disposed at intervals in a circumferential direction, a carrier 43 for supporting each planetary gear 42 so as to rotate about a center of the planetary gear, and an internal gear 44 engaged with each planetary gear 42.
