The present invention relates to a signal processing method and a base station, the method comprising: splitting, by the base station, an array antenna, so as to form a first transmission beam and a second transmission beam in a downlink direction, the first transmission beam covering a first cell, and the second transmission beam covering a second cell; in an uplink direction, weighting, by the base station, the array antenna, so as to form a receiving beam; and transmitting, by the base station, a downlink signal through the first transmission beam and a first user equipment (UE), and transmitting an uplink signal through the receiving beam and the first UE, wherein the first UE is located in the first cell. The present invention can significantly increase an uplink coverage range, reduce beam interference, save the power consumption of a terminal and improve the service user experience of adopting mobile broadband while taking a downlink capacity into account. |
