PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a gear coupling and a hub which have increased strength in a buffer material for suppressing interference noise between an internal gear and an external gear. ! SOLUTION: A hub 14b includes an external gear 13b on its outer peripheral surface. A sleeve 12b includes an internal gear 11b on its inner peripheral surface. These external gear 13b and the internal gear 11b are meshed with each other. A groove 50 is formed in a tip 13d of the external gear 13b of the hub 14b.
