PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet loading device which uses two drive sources, i.e, a drive source for discharging a sheet and a drive source for moving a tray in a vertical direction and thereby realizes a mechanism for expanding a placement surface of the tray with a simple structure at low cost.SOLUTION: A sheet loading device is provided with: a lift mechanism 55 which moves an external tray 52 in a vertical direction; and a drive transmission mechanism 57 which transmits a driving force of a first motor 108 to an extension tray 53. When the external tray 52 is moved from an initial position to a drive transmission position by the lifting mechanism 55, an input gear 81 engages with an intermediate gear 74. If the first motor 108 is rotationally driven in the state, the driving force of the first motor 108 is transmitted from the intermediate gear 74 of the drive transmission mechanism 57 to the extension tray 53 through the input gear 81 and the extension tray 53 moves to a position where the extension tray 53 takes an extension posture. |
