Provided are a thin film transistor array substrate and manufacturing method thereof and liquid crystal display device. The thin film transistor array substrate comprises: a base, a black matrix layer, a gate electrode layer, an insulating layer, a semiconductor layer, an ohmic contact layer, a second conductive layer, a passivation layer and a transparent conductive layer; the second conductive layer comprises a source electrode layer and a drain electrode layer, and gaps exist between the projection area of the gate electrode layer on the base and the projection area of the drain electrode layer on the base. Further provided in the present invention are a liquid crystal display device and method of manufacturing the thin-film transistor array substrate. The present invention improves the display effect of the corresponding liquid crystal display device. |
