Backrest comprising a framework (4), a front structure (16) carried by the framework and able to support the back of a user, this front structure being able to move between a normal use position and a safety position, a protection system (17) including first and second portions (18, 19), one of which is connected to the front structure and the other of which is connected to the framework, the first portion being able to move with respect to the second portion between a first position corresponding to the normal use position and a second position corresponding to the safety position, the first portion (18) being held in the first position as long as the front structure is not subjected to a rearward force greater than a predetermined value, the first portion being held in the first position by mutual interlocking with the second portion (19). |
