The present invention relates to a method for calculating a stability margin (tolerance) for transient stability of the power system through time domain interpretation when critical disturbances such as breakdown and dropping of a transmission line on a power system associated with a generator (or generation area) occurs and to a method for quantitatively calculating a transient stability margin of a generator (or generation area) through time interpretation when a big disturbance occurs in the power system.
