The present invention relates to a battery/fuel cell hybrid system and a method for operating the same and, more specifically, to a battery/fuel cell hybrid system and a method for operating the same comprising: a step of automatically supplying hydrogen which is a by-product of a self-discharge response of a metal-air battery to a hydrogen fuel cell by merging the metal-air battery and the hydrogen fuel cell, thereby minimizing a loss in capacity of the battery according to hydrogen generation; and a step of supplying H_2O which is a product of the hydrogen fuel cell to the metal-air battery to replenish the metal-air battery so as to compensate water transpiration which the metal-air battery has. |
