<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a three-phase induction motor starter, which enables said motors to start with a lower starting current, using a bank of three-phase capacitors and a three-phase induction motor with two identical windings mounted on the same stator in an anti-parallel position, which allows the start current of the motor to be reduced. The typical power factor in three-phase induction motors ranges from 70% to 85%, therefore, using the inventive starter will substantially correct the power factor, this being an important benefit both for the user and the electric power supplying company.</p> |
