PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting high-purity bisphenol fluorene that can be reused as a raw material for an optical resin, from a waste polycarbonate resin having a fluorene structure. ! SOLUTION: A polycarbonate resin having a fluorene structure is hydrolyzed in the presence of an aqueous metal hydroxide solution to produce bisphenol fluorene; the bisphenol fluorene produced by the hydrolysis is selectively distributed in an organic solvent without carrying out a special operation such as an acid treatment; and the bisphenol fluorene can be separated from other bisphenol components or inorganic components. The collected bisphenol fluorene has high purity and a good hue, and therefore, can be reused as a raw material for an optical resin. ! COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT |
