The present invention relates to a three-dimensional biocompatible scaffold capable of supporting cell activities, such as growth and differentiation, the scaffold comprising a first biocompatible material and a second biocompatible material, said second material filling a substantial part of the first voids shaped by said first biocompatible material, wherein the scaffold has a diameter of less than 500 µm.
