The invention relates to various novel yeast strains of the species Yarrowia lipolytica and associated methods for the biocatalytic production of ω-hydroxy fatty acids or dicarboxylic acid by means of these strains, the formation of ω-hydroxy fatty acids or dicarboxylic acids being advantageously increased.
