PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium configured to achieve an improvement in productivity of a recorded matter, an improvement in information security, and reduction in a recording cost, and a recording medium suitable for an inkjet system.SOLUTION: A recording medium 1 includes an ink-receiving layer 53 that receives an ink for inkjet recording, and a transparent sheet 52 having a total luminous transmittance of 50% or more. The recording medium has a multilayer structure in which the transparent sheet 52 and the ink-receiving layer 53 are successively layered; and the ink-receiving layer 53 is a gap-absorption type ink-receiving layer formed of a composition comprising at least inorganic fine particles and polyvinyl alcohol having a weight average polymerization degree of 2,000 or more and 5,000 or less and a saponification degree of 70 mol% or more and 90 mol% or less. |
