PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for compensating for frequency and phase offsets in a multiple antenna system (MAS) with multiuser (MU) transmissions (MU-MAS).SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: transmitting a training signal from each antenna 305 of a base station 300 to one of a plurality of wireless client devices 306-308; generating frequency offset compensation data; receiving the frequency offset compensation data at the base station; computing MU-MAS precoder weights on the basis of the frequency offset compensation data to precancel the frequency offset at a transmitter (transceiver 304); and computing a plurality of MU-MAS precoder weights on the basis of channel characterization data.
