PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of suppressing dew condensation on a refrigerator wall surface and ensuring excellent energy saving performance.SOLUTION: A refrigerator 1 of the present invention includes: an adiabatic box 10; a compressor 24; first heat exchange means 41 implementing heat exchange with outdoor air via an outer surface of the adiabatic box 10; second heat exchange means 7 implementing heat exchange with air within the adiabatic box 10; and decompression means 42 having a switchable throttle size, a refrigerant pipe 70 in which refrigerant flows sequentially connecting the compressor 24, the first heat exchange means 41, the decompression means 42, and the second heat exchange means 7, an interior of the refrigerator 1 being cooled by emission of heat from the refrigerant by the first heat exchange means 41 and absorption of the heat by the second heat exchange means 7. The refrigerator 1 includes refrigerant flow channel switching means 101 switching a refrigerant flow channel so that the refrigerant discharged from a discharge port 24o of the compressor 24 at a time of defrosting the second heat exchange means 7 sequentially flows in the second heat exchange means 7, the decompression means 42, the first heat exchange means 41, and an intake port 24i of the compressor 24, the throttle size of the decompression means 42 is switched between a cooling operation and a defrosting operation. |
