An aircraft luggage system (10) comprises a luggage compartment (20) which comprises an upper side (30) which is directed towards a ceiling region of an aircraft region (100) when the luggage compartment (10) is assembled in the aircraft region (100), a lower side (28) which is directed towards a floor region of the aircraft region (100) when the luggage compartment (10) is assembled in the aircraft region (100), a rear side (31) which is directed towards an outer contour of the aircraft region (100) when the luggage compartment (10) is assembled in the aircraft region (100), and two side faces (32, 34) which connect the upper side (30) to the lower side (28). The lower side (28) of the luggage compartment (10) is rigidly connected to the side faces (32, 34) and the rear side (31) of the luggage compartment (10). A flap (36) which is movable between a closed position and an open position is configured to make an inner space of the luggage compartment (20) accessible or to close it. At least one additional luggage compartment (48, 54) is arranged adjacent to at least one of the upper side (30) and the lower side (28) of the luggage compartment (20). |
