This subject moving device includes: a base; a head unit, which is provided with vertically movable rods, and which moves along a predetermined moving path above the base; a first container unit that contains a subject to be moved; a second container unit that receives the subject; a chip stock unit that holds a plurality of chips in a state in which the chips can be attached to the rods, said chips being attachable/detachable with respect to the rods, and sucking the subject and ejecting the sucked subject by means of vertical movement of the rods; a chip discarding unit that collects the chips that have finished the suction and the ejection of the subject and detached from the rods; and a control unit that controls the vertical movement of the rods and the moving operations of the head unit. |
