PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide adipose-derived stem cells and lattices, which cells are capable of differentiating into various mesenchymal tissues or connective tissues.SOLUTION: To isolate stem cells, adipose tissue is washed and then vigorously agitated, and the precipitates are removed after still-standing. Then cells having three or more of developmental phenotypes are isolated. On the other hand, adipose-derived lattices can be obtained by an enzyme treatment of the adipose tissue, which lattices may include proteins that serve as the excellent substrates for cell proliferation, as well as hormones and growth factors that facilitate the proliferation of cells seeded into the matrix.
