PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of encoding a video by grouping a plurality of prediction units into one transform unit and by performing transformation.SOLUTION: Prediction to a prediction unit is performed by using a prediction value in prediction unit included in a group of a plurality of prediction units instead of a pixel value generated by encoding the other prediction unit in the group of the plurality of prediction units and then recovering. Thereby, a compressibility of encoding is improved by a grouping result of the plurality of prediction units.
