PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biopsy device equipped with a tissue sample holder which can be applied to other devices as well.SOLUTION: A biopsy device includes a probe 102, holster 202, and a tissue sample holder 302 for collecting a tissue sample. The probe includes a needle 10 and a hollow cutter 50. The tissue sample holder includes a housing having a plurality of chambers each configured so as to accept a tray. The housing can be disengageably engaged with the probe. Each tray is configured so as to accept a tissue sample sent through a cutter lumen. Each tray can be detached from the housing along an axial direction, for example. The tissue sample holder can be rotated so as to find out each chamber for the cutter lumen properly. |
