PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus manufacturing method capable of suppressing lens tilt by undergoing simple processes, without depending on active alignment or the like, and to provide the imaging apparatus manufactured by the method and a portable terminal equipped with the imaging apparatus. ! SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus manufacturing method comprises processes of: providing a planar support member on the rear side of a board and heating and pressing the board from the front side of the board; mounting a solid state image sensor to the front side of the board; assembling an imaging lens holding member and/or an imaging lens to the front side of the board; and separating the support member from the rear side of the board. !
