PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate attaching and detaching of a cap and facilitate also movement of a plug part. ! SOLUTION: A branch saddle joint 10 is the joint which is joined by electric fusion to the outer surface of a synthetic resin main pipe (100) for leading out a brach from the main pipe (100), and comprises a water stopping part 64 provided in a cap 50. The water stopping part, after a plug part 28 is arranged in an upper end of a branch part body 14, receives press-down force from the cap 50, presses between the outer peripheral surface of the plug part 28 and the inner peripheral surface of the branch part body 14, and thereby stops leakage of water upward of the plug part 28 from between the outer peripheral surface of the plug part 28 and the inner peripheral surface of the branch part body 14. !
